The 57mm anti-tank gun has served your GIs well in the past year. While not the most potent weapon in your arsenal, it has become increasingly useful with its new high explosive ammunition, allowing it to knock out enemy nests and infantry positions.

On the defence, dig the guns in and use its small profile to make them as difficult to see as possible.

Fortunately for the US Airborne units, theBritish had already redesigned the 6 pdr (which the M1 57mm is US manufactured version) to fit into a Horsa glider. It also fitted the Waco glider, so rather than go through the design process independently the US Airborne troops adopted the 6 pdr on the Mark III carriage as the M1 57mm (Airborne).
