Kingdom of Bretonnia: Men-at-Arms provides the massed ranks of dependable infantry needed to support the glorious knights and nobles of Bretonnia in Warhammer: The Old World. This multipart plastic kit builds 36 Men-at-Arms, complete with two sets of command models, extensive interchangeable components, and a Bretonnian transfer sheet for adding heraldry to their distinctive shields.

While Bretonnia is famed throughout the World of Legend for its magnificent knights, even the boldest cavalry charge benefits from solid ranks of infantry. Men-at-Arms are lowborn soldiers recruited into the household forces of Bretonnia's noble lords. Armed, trained, and called to battle by their masters, these humble warriors provide the numbers needed to hold ground while the realm's mounted elite seek glory elsewhere on the battlefield.

Each Man-at-Arms carries a bladed polearm and large shield, protected by the practical armour appropriate to a common soldier. When assembled into tightly packed formations, their tall shields and long weapons create an impressive wall of infantry, particularly when the unit is decorated in the heraldic colours of the noble house it serves.

The kit includes enough components to create two complete command sections. Each comprises a standard bearer, a Grail Monk, a musician, and a Yeoman champion, allowing the 36 miniatures to be organised in several useful ways.

You can assemble the collection as two regiments of 18 Men-at-Arms, each with its own command section, providing additional flexibility when organising your Kingdom of Bretonnia army. Alternatively, the troops can be gathered into a huge formation, including a formidable 32-model shieldwall supported by command models.

The command options add plenty of character amongst the otherwise disciplined ranks. Standard bearers can proudly display the colours of their lord, while the Grail Monks bring religious devotion to the regiment. Musicians have a choice of instruments, and Yeoman champions provide suitably distinctive leaders for your formations.

A broad selection of interchangeable components helps give the regiment the varied appearance expected of a gathering of Bretonnian commoners. Different bodies, helmeted heads, polearm poses, and pieces of peasant luggage can be mixed throughout the unit, allowing you to introduce individual details without losing the impressive uniformity of a massed infantry formation.

The included Bretonnian Transfer Sheet contains 176 waterslide transfers, providing plenty of heraldic decoration for shields and other suitable surfaces. This makes it easier to tie the regiment visually to the knights and nobles in your army, whether you're following an established Bretonnian heraldic scheme or creating a household force of your own.

With 36 miniatures in the box, Kingdom of Bretonnia: Men-at-Arms is an excellent way to establish the infantry core of a new Bretonnian army or dramatically increase the number of foot soldiers in an existing collection. Array their shields, raise the banners, lower the polearms, and prepare to defend the honour of Bretonnia while the knights ride forth in search of glory.
