Keep the essential information for your German formations and units close at hand with the Flames of War: German – Liberation of Italy German Unit Cards. Containing a substantial set of 89 cards, this accessory is designed to support German players fielding forces from the Liberation of Italy period, providing convenient tabletop references for the units available to their armies.

The campaign in Italy presented German forces with a demanding series of defensive battles as the Allies pushed northwards through the peninsula. Mountain ranges, rivers, fortified positions, restricted roads, and difficult terrain created a very different battlefield from the wide-open manoeuvre warfare associated with many other campaigns of the Second World War. German commanders were required to make effective use of infantry, armour, artillery, anti-tank weapons, reconnaissance elements, and supporting units as they attempted to delay the Allied advance.

The Liberation of Italy German Unit Cards are designed to make managing these forces on the Flames of War tabletop easier. Rather than repeatedly referring back to army books for commonly required unit information, players can place the appropriate cards alongside their force and have important characteristics readily available throughout the battle.

Each Unit Card provides a convenient reference for its associated unit, helping players quickly check the information needed to use that unit during a game. This is particularly useful when commanding larger or more varied armies, where keeping track of the capabilities of numerous teams can otherwise require frequent reference to additional material.

With 89 German Unit Cards included, this is a comprehensive accessory for players exploring the German forces covered by the Liberation of Italy range. The large selection makes the set particularly useful for players who enjoy experimenting with different formations and army compositions rather than relying on a single established force.

The cards are also useful when preparing an army before a game. Players can select the cards corresponding to the units in their chosen force and keep them together for the battle, creating a compact set of references specifically tailored to the army being fielded.
