Dice for the ages

By: on 23 February 2026
Perhaps the most carefully curated dice in existence. Enchanted with luck. Clearly not just a nicely mixed set of colored polyhedrals. The Black opaque d4. Reminiscent of the shadow and chaos that needs fighting by adventurers throughout the multiverse. Used in Healing and damage spells like Magic Missile and Healing Word spell. The foundation of small effect but not , nil effect. A handy caltrop against your foes real or imagined. Ivory white d6 . Reminiscent of the bones of the living and the undead. Used in character creation they help form the potential "stats stuff" of every character. Basic and solidly used building blocks thought the game. Orange clear d8. A dynamic regular solid the color of fire. Its is at the heart of every hit dice and hit points ever rolled. Like fire and the natural world it is action and dynamic force. Most used by Druids Warlocks and Clerics of all stripes. Indispensable. Black metalic swirl d10. Cold and dark as the ore mined by the Dwarves to forge into indestructible armor and weapons of great potency. The badge of many necromantic magic and "tough guy" classes hit points. When a big amount of damage is coming a d10 is usually there. Red swirl 'decade' d10 its counter part in life. Used together they open up infinite choices and blood chilling daring. The supplier of decimal points in a seemingly boundless world. Blue d12 . Reminiscent of the sky and sea. Bounded and extreme freedom at the same time, with great highs and terrible lows. Big splashes are caused by this. Pale blue d20. Echoes back to the old box box set one in color. But perfected in form. Is the pale blue color likened to the power of spirit? Adventure? Conflict and skills? Perhaps all these together representing what most now know of as 'Flow State'. Useful and universal as ever. All the dice in the set were pretty readable too.
