I don't like sand. It's course and rough and irritating and gets everywhere. This also happens to be the location for many battles over the years. These mats make setting up your battles in Team Yankee, Flames of War, Tanks: World War II or The Modern Age a breeze. They are nicely presented and cover a large area. They can also be connected together for those who require even more space.
