Warhammer Colour Layer: Zamesi Desert is a warm, earthy golden-yellow acrylic paint designed to provide smooth, consistent colour when layering and highlighting Warhammer miniatures. Its Layer formulation makes it an excellent choice for building up rich ochre and sandy yellow tones over darker base colours, adding definition to raised surfaces, and creating natural-looking highlights that bring out the fine details of a miniature.

Zamesi Desert is particularly well suited to desert clothing, armour, leather, cloth, banners, parchment, and other areas where a muted, golden-yellow tone is required. Its distinctive earthy ochre character makes it useful for layering over darker colours such as XV-88, Balor Brown, and Averland Sunset, creating smooth colour transitions, and providing a foundation for brighter yellow highlights applied later in the painting process.

As part of the Warhammer Colour Layer range, Zamesi Desert is formulated specifically for applying controlled layers of colour to miniatures. Layer paints are designed to be applied in thin coats, allowing hobbyists to gradually build up colour, create smooth transitions, and highlight raised details while preserving the fine sculpted features of their models.

The versatile golden-yellow tone can be used across Warhammer 40,000, Warhammer Age of Sigmar, The Horus Heresy, Warhammer: The Old World, and other miniature ranges. It is particularly suitable for desert-themed armies, weathered equipment, and earthy colour schemes, as well as military vehicles, sandy bases, stonework, scenery, terrain, and general modelling projects requiring warm yellow or ochre highlights.
