Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game: Dol Guldur Battlehost gathers a sinister force from the dark stronghold of Dol Guldur, providing an excellent way to begin a new army or reinforce an existing collection for the Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game. Filled with servants of darkness ready to march to war, this Battlehost is ideal for players looking to bring the shadow of the Necromancer's fortress to the tabletop.

Hidden deep within the tangled forests of Mirkwood, Dol Guldur became a place of fear and corruption. From this ancient fortress, evil spread throughout the surrounding lands, threatening the Free Peoples and casting a shadow over the forest. Armies associated with Dol Guldur reflect this sinister character, making them an evocative choice for players who enjoy fielding the forces of Evil in the Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game.

The Dol Guldur Battlehost is designed to provide a substantial collection of themed miniatures in a single box. This makes it particularly useful for players beginning a Dol Guldur force, giving them a strong foundation from which their army can grow. Existing collectors can also use the set to add additional warriors and reinforce their forces for larger battles.

Battlehost sets are a convenient entry point into the army-building side of the Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game. Once assembled, the miniatures can form the core of a themed force and can be combined with additional compatible heroes, warriors, and other units as your collection develops. This allows you to start with a focused group and gradually create a larger army suited to increasingly ambitious tabletop battles.

For hobbyists, a Dol Guldur force provides plenty of opportunities to explore the darker visual themes of Middle-earth. Dark metals, weathered armour, worn cloth, battered weapons, dirt, rust, and grime can all help create a suitably sinister appearance. Individual warriors can be given subtle variations while retaining a unified palette that makes the complete Battlehost look cohesive on the tabletop.

Basing provides another opportunity to reinforce the atmosphere of Dol Guldur and Mirkwood. Ruined stone, dead vegetation, twisted roots, dark earth, fallen leaves, and patches of overgrown masonry can create the impression of warriors emerging from an ancient fortress swallowed by the forest. More heavily weathered bases can also give the entire force the appearance of having marched from a place long corrupted by darkness.

Whether you're taking your first steps into the Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game, beginning a dedicated Dol Guldur collection, or adding reinforcements to an established Evil army, the Dol Guldur Battlehost provides a thematic foundation for recreating battles from the darker corners of Middle-earth.
