Codex: Orks is the essential Warhammer 40,000 supplement for players and collectors looking to unleash the brutal, kunnin', and joyously destructive power of an Ork Waaagh!. This comprehensive 176-page softcover book combines extensive background material, collecting and painting guidance, inspirational photography, and the complete faction rules needed to field an Orks army on the tabletop.

Orks are stronger than any human, with rippling muscles, maws filled with yellowing fangs, and a natural toughness that allows them to shrug off injuries that would incapacitate lesser warriors. They are terrifying opponents individually and become even more dangerous when gathered into the enormous mobs that characterise an Ork invasion.

Across the battlefield, bellowing mobs of Ork Boyz surge towards the enemy while enthusiastically spraying gunfire in every direction. Ramshackle buggies race alongside them, beast riders hurtle towards their prey, and lumbering walkers trundle forward in search of something to smash. Loud, unpredictable, and recklessly destructive, the Orks are one of the most anarchic forces in the galaxy – and they're having an exceptionally good time while everything around them explodes.

Within Codex: Orks, you'll find a substantial lore section exploring Ork society and the forces that gather beneath the banner of a Waaagh!. Background material and historical notes are accompanied by evocative artwork, descriptions of the various Ork units, and inspirational photography of impressive painted armies, providing plenty to explore whether you're an established greenskin commander or discovering the faction for the first time.

The book also includes a dedicated collecting section designed to help hobbyists develop their Orks collection. Advice on building a thematic army and working towards different Detachments is accompanied by painting guides and hobby tips. There is even guidance for creating a suitably Orky themed battlefield, helping you bring the ramshackle character of the faction to the scenery surrounding your miniatures.

For gaming, Codex: Orks contains the rules required to field your greenskins as an effective fighting force in Warhammer 40,000. The rules section includes the Orks' army special rules alongside an extensive selection of 15 Detachments, providing a wide variety of ways to organise and play your collection.

The book contains 54 datasheets covering the units available to an Orks army. Combined with the 15 Detachments, these provide the foundation for creating forces representing different aspects of Ork warfare, whether your Waaagh! revolves around masses of greenskins, roaring vehicles, beast-riding warriors, lumbering walkers, or another suitably destructive combination.

Both the front and back covers feature a gatefold section containing additional material. These include impressive miniature photography, a galactic map charting the spread of Orks across space, and an Inquisitorial report examining Ork activity throughout various war zones.

Unlike a traditional full-size hardback codex, this edition is presented in a convenient 185mm x 250mm softcover format with a removable slipcase. Its more compact dimensions make it easier to carry alongside your army and gaming accessories when heading to a game, while still packing 176 pages of Ork background, hobby material, and tabletop rules into the book.

Inside the back cover you'll also find a unique code for Warhammer 40,000: The App. Redeeming this code unlocks the Orks faction within the app and provides ongoing access to additional free Orks content as it becomes available over time.

Whether you're assembling your first mob of Boyz, expanding an established greenskin collection, looking for inspiration for your next painting project, or preparing a mighty Waaagh! for battle, Codex: Orks brings together the lore, hobby guidance, and gaming rules you need in one portable volume.
