Warhammer: The Horus Heresy – Adeptus Custodes: Aquilon Terminator Sodality brings the formidable might of the Emperor's elite bodyguards to the tabletop. Clad in immensely resilient Aquilon Terminator armour and equipped with some of the most sophisticated weapons available to the Imperium, these warriors represent the pinnacle of the Legio Custodes' heavy infantry capabilities. This multipart plastic kit builds 6 Aquilon Terminators, suitable for Legio Custodes armies in Warhammer: The Horus Heresy and Adeptus Custodes armies in Warhammer 40,000.

The Adeptus Custodes are the personal guardians of the Emperor of Mankind, genetically engineered warriors whose strength, skill, and martial discipline surpass even those of the Space Marines. Each Custodian is a masterpiece of the Emperor's genetic science, equipped with extraordinary weapons and armour crafted to meet the exacting requirements of these exceptional warriors. Among their most heavily protected formations are the Aquilon Terminator Sodalities, specialists deployed when only the most overwhelming application of force will suffice.

Aquilon Terminator armour represents a remarkable advancement upon the ancient Cataphractii Terminator armour pattern. Specifically designed to accommodate the superior physiques and capabilities of the Custodes, Aquilon plate incorporates additional integrated power systems, capacitors, and sophisticated protective technologies. The result is an exceptionally durable suit of armour that allows its wearer to withstand devastating punishment while maintaining the mobility necessary to bring formidable weapons to bear.

Unlike conventional Terminator formations, Aquilon Sodalities are committed to battle only when circumstances demand their extraordinary capabilities. Their combination of immense resilience, devastating firepower, and exceptional close-combat ability makes them particularly effective in the confined environments of Zone Mortalis warfare, where narrow corridors, fortified installations, and enclosed battlefields place a premium on heavily armoured infantry capable of overcoming determined resistance.

Whether advancing through the passageways of a voidship, breaching an enemy stronghold, or confronting heavily defended positions, Aquilon Terminators provide the Legio Custodes with a reliable platform for mobile heavy firepower. Their advanced armour enables them to endure savage attacks while their powerful weapons eliminate threats that might overwhelm lesser warriors.

Devastating Ranged Weaponry

Each Aquilon Terminator can be equipped with an Infernus Firepike, a formidable weapon designed to unleash destructive torrents of flame against enemy infantry. These weapons are particularly suited to the brutal realities of close-quarters engagements, where concentrated fire can clear corridors, defensive positions, and other confined spaces.

The kit also includes alternative ranged weapons, allowing every Terminator to be equipped with either an Adrathic Combi-destructor or a Lastrum Storm Bolter in place of the Infernus Firepike. These options provide considerable flexibility when assembling the unit, allowing hobbyists to select weapons that suit their preferred appearance and intended battlefield role.

Adrathic weaponry represents some of the most advanced and dangerous technology available to the Emperor's chosen warriors, while Lastrum Storm Bolters deliver formidable firepower through sophisticated ballistic weapon systems. Together, these options reflect the exceptional quality and technological superiority of the equipment entrusted to the Custodes.

Overwhelming Close-Combat Power

In addition to their ranged weapons, Aquilon Terminators are formidable opponents in close combat. Each warrior can carry a massive Solarite Power Gauntlet, a devastating weapon capable of delivering crushing blows against heavily armoured enemies and powerful opponents.

Alternatively, the kit provides Solarite Power Talons, allowing the Terminators to be assembled with a different style of close-combat weaponry. These lethal weapons complement the extraordinary physical strength and martial expertise of the Custodes, making Aquilon Terminators dangerous adversaries even when an engagement descends into brutal hand-to-hand fighting.

Every miniature is also equipped with a Misericordia, the traditional sidearm carried by the Emperor's guardians. More than a simple weapon, the Misericordia is an important symbol of a Custodian's duty and authority, reflecting the ancient traditions of the Ten Thousand.

Customisable Elite Warriors

This multipart plastic kit offers a range of interchangeable components, allowing hobbyists to create a distinctive Aquilon Terminator Sodality. The miniatures feature imposing Terminator armour, ornate Custodes detailing, and the elaborate craftsmanship associated with the Emperor's personal guardians.

The kit includes 6 chest plates in 3 different designs, 6 helmets in 3 different designs, and 6 tilting shields in 3 different designs. These interchangeable parts provide opportunities to vary the appearance of individual warriors while maintaining the unified aesthetic of an elite Custodes formation.

Combined with the available ranged and close-combat weapon options, these components allow hobbyists to personalise their unit and create a striking formation of heavily armoured warriors. The ornate armour and distinctive weapons also provide excellent opportunities for detailed painting, highlighting, and decorative finishing techniques.

For Warhammer: The Horus Heresy and Warhammer 40,000

The Aquilon Terminator Sodality is suitable for Legio Custodes armies in Warhammer: The Horus Heresy, allowing players to represent the Emperor's elite guardians during the turbulent events of the 31st Millennium. These warriors embody the extraordinary military power available to the Master of Mankind during the Great Crusade and the devastating civil war that followed.

The miniatures can also be used in Adeptus Custodes armies in Warhammer 40,000, providing collectors and players with a distinctive formation of heavily armoured Custodians. Their imposing appearance and advanced weaponry make them an excellent addition to an army of the Emperor's finest warriors.

For miniature painters, Aquilon Terminators offer an outstanding opportunity to explore the elaborate visual style of the Adeptus Custodes. Their ornate armour is particularly well suited to rich gold finishes, carefully shaded metallic surfaces, decorative detailing, and contrasting weapon effects. Alternative colour schemes can also be used to represent different Custodes formations or create a personalised army.
