Introduced in 1967, the Raketenjagdpanzer 2 (literally “rocket hunting tank”) was purpose-built to engage enemy armour at long range using the powerful Nord SS.11 wire-guided missile. Sharing its chassis design with the Kanonenjagdpanzer, the Raketenjagdpanzer 2 delivered precise, stand-off anti-tank capability well beyond the reach of traditional guns.
